ScamGuard Review
These days, I see that many banks and financial institutions are amping up their efforts to raise awareness about scams. While these efforts are commendable, it’s important to keep in mind that scammers are developing much more advanced strategies. As a result, it’s becoming very difficult for people to determine if something really is a scam or not. And when scams look legit, it leads to more victims who lose their hard-earned savings. Now, people who’ve lost their money are seeking fund recovery services that can help. In this ScamGuard review, I’ll be discussing one of these agencies.
Although there are plenty of agencies around, I decided to review this one for its claims of offering unparalleled recovery services.
Total Disregard for Customer Support
As a consumer in the 21st century, I highly appreciate brands that try to form a meaningful connection with their audience. And considering how most businesses are operating online these days, it’s become all the more important to engage with customers on a regular basis. Unfortunately, this doesn’t seem to be a priority for ScamGuard. That’s because the company simply refuses to take any responsibility for the case and contact its clients.
Whenever they take up a project to help recover funds, they don’t stay in touch with the client or give them any updates. In fact, they don’t even bother to speak with the client about how they went through this ordeal or interaction with the scammer involved. And even when clients make an effort to contact the company and ask for any news regarding their case, the customer support representatives are poorly trained and don’t offer any information.
Underwhelming Success Rate
While the market for fund recovery services is still somewhat new, there are many new companies that have yet to establish themselves. This leaves people confused as to who they should choose when hiring a company. In this situation, the best way to make a choice is to look at the company’s social proof, which refers to their reviews, testimonials, or how many cases they’ve successfully handled.
Therefore, I tried to see how many clients ScamGuard has helped and how much money it has recovered. Honestly, I thought that the success rate so far is quite unimpressive. I expected it to be within the range of tens of millions, but it’s not even close. Therefore, it doesn’t inspire any confidence in clients that they’re more likely to get their money back with this company. I wouldn’t recommend clients take that chance unless they’re sure about the chances of recovering their funds.
No Financial and Legal Experts On the Team
Lastly, I want to discuss the competence and skills of the people on the team. Even though fund recovery agencies take a different route from most law enforcement officials, I still expected some sort of qualifications. Specifically, I expected that the team would have experts with a legal or finance background.
To my surprise, this wasn’t the case at all because none of the investigators involved in recovering the funds seemed knowledgeable enough about the different complexities of recovering funds. Hence, it’s very likely that the team responsible for retrieving stolen funds doesn’t have a proper plan to do so. Instead, they’re using haphazard techniques.
Bottom Line
To summarize the points I’ve made in this ScamGuard review, it’s a below-average fund recovery service that fails to deliver on its promises to clients. Despite claiming to offer reliable services, it has a complete disregard for customers’ trust and fails to maintain proper communication with them. Moreover, the company has an underwhelming success rate so far, which points to the possibility that they don’t have the right skills to get the job done. Also, there’s a likelihood that their team of investigators doesn’t have any legal or financial experts who can help the team navigate complex cases.
